This project was an extensive frame-off restoration. When it arrived at SuperRodZs the classic was in need of resurrection. Completely reduced to its smallest parts, the GTO was refurbished, repaired and rebuilt from the ground up. Outfitted with a 389 cubic inch engine, Tri-Power carburetion and a Muncie 4 speed transmission the Pontiac roared back to life.

 

A little modernization of this project car included a Classic Aftermarket air conditioning system incorporated into customized dash vents and an XM radio adaptable Antique Automobile AM/FM radio, a Hurst Competition Plus Shifter and a Rally instrument gauge cluster with a Red Line tachometer.

 

The street performance and overall package was enhaced with 17" Coy's custom wheels with EMT custom crafted, one of a kind Hurst wheel centers and an SSBC stainless steel 4 piston brake system with stainless steel in-line tubing.

 

This year long project was finalized with a masterful painting in a stunning Nightwatch Blue giving the 1965 GTO convertible an eye-catching style in a class all its own.
